Emily Irene VanCamp was originally interested in becoming a dancer but after a visit to her sister Katie's set on Ladies Room, she became more interested in acting. The acting profession began after she started taking classes. She also got appearances on television shows in her homeland of Canada. VanCamp had a big breakthrough in his career after being cast in Glory Days, the WB mystery horror show. Though receiving positive reviews this show's poor ratings unfortunately caused it to be canceled after only nine episodes. The actress, born on May 12, 1986 was quick to land an additional role on Everwood. She played Amy Abbott. It was for this role that she was nominated by the Young Artist Award, and also the four Teen Choice Awards.
